Oak Ridges Knights Soccer is going GREEN!

In order to promote and contribute to our community's recycling program the Oak Ridges Soccer Club will be providing ALL participants with a reusable water bottle for the coming soccer season.

This means we can consciously and conscientiously do our part by not using disposable water bottles or juice containers which are often left in garbage bins, or scattered around our beautiful fields.

Let's all do our part in keeping our community environmentally clean and free of unslightly, although potentially disposable, recyclables.

Thank you for commitment and participation.

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS

Any students/referees/players interested in volunteering within the Oak Ridges Soccer Club in order to complete their 'community' service hours as part of their academic curiculum, please call
905 313 8920 or email info@oakridgessoccer.com

PLAYER EQUIPMENT

Absolutely NO JEWELRY is allowed,
except for medical reasons.

HATS must NOT be worn by any player during the game, except the goalkeeper (depending on the sunshine). This is a safety concern.

All players must wear soccer shoes
and shin pads. Shin pads should be worn
inside the socks, not outside.

All players should have received a uniform (jersey, shorts and socks),
Club T-shirt and soccer ball.

Please bring your soccer ball to
all games.

PARENTS AND COACHES

Parents and Coaches involved in House League Divisions
U7 and older are asked to adhere to the Club rule that states that all
parents are to sit on the opposite side of the field from
the Coach and the player substitutes.

We also ask that Coaches stay on
one side of the centre line
during the game. Ideally, we ask that Coaches create a
'players' bench. Players should be instructed to bring
their beverage to the
'players' bench to avoid running
to parents or having parents come to the opposite side
of the field during the game.

It's all about TEAMWORK!

What's required to be a REFEREE? How about "Head Referee"?

For the coming 2011 soccer season, if you are interested, or know of anyone who might want to referee next year, please send me an email (address below). Two specific OSA-approved courses will be scheduled for the Oak Ridges area in the Spring of 2011.

General costs for either course (depending on age as of March 31st), is $55 (if older 14 or older),
or $30 (if between 12 and 13 years of age).

Visit our 'Referee Zone' for details.

Thanks to referee registrants who signed up early for the referee programs in preparation of the coming 2010 soccer season here in Oak Ridges. Practice your signals, and continue to brush up on your new understanding of the Laws of the Game (LOTG). Keep tooting!
